I have been experiencing censorship in a few different online spaces. The first time was on youtube when my account was deleted without warning for making a movie where two Barbies, I had drawn nipples on and added pubic hair to, demanded from Mattel there be anatomically correct genitals in future Barbie models and then they fucked each other.
I could understand why that one was taken down…it was probably breaching a few conditions but they could have simply removed the video and not my entire account. Win to the prudes.
So I went over to vimeo but they censored my Face video I uploaded to my account there because it depicted sexually explicit material. It was simply a video of my face as I orgasmed and I explained to them that this was no more sexually explicit than the scene in ‘When Harry Met Sally’ where Meg Ryan fakes an orgasm. Vimeo agreed with my appeal and reinstated the video. Win to me.

Now most recently Facebook deleted my entire account because someone amongst my friends reported an image in my photos as being too sexually explicit. The image was the one you see with this blog post of myself masturbating but I had already completely obscured my hand and cunt in photo shop for facebook. So just an insinuation of an act of me masturbating though you could see no genitals or breasts. Sheesh…win to the prudes.
So it has got me wondering is there an adult only online social network that is sex positive and GLBTQ friendly? if there is why are we all on facebook and if there isn’t why not? Apparently Google+ is going to be GLBTQ friendly and allow for multiple trans and queer friendly gender definitions. I’ve put my name down for google plus.
It is interesting to me also that it was that image of masturbation and not the one of me naked on all fours with a naked man pressed up against my behind that got reported. Why are people more offended by masturbation than fucking?
